Findern Footpaths Group was formed in 1998 when Findern Parish Council wished to set up a working party to care for our countryside. Members of the group are all volunteers and we maintain, improve and promote the ten kilometres of public rights of way we have here in Findern.

Read MoreThese rights of way follow a wide variety of routes alongside streams, ponds and the Trent and Mersey Canal and through flower-rich meadows, historical sites and woodland. Some routes offer stunning views over the countryside towards Repton or Derby. A regular programme of events has dramatically increased the number of people using the routes to walk or cycle and since being formed the group has succeeded in making them more accessible to everyone particularly the less able and those with young children.
